Delete your account
You can delete your Favemark account, and everything in it, from inside the app. This page explains how, and what happens — and gives you a way to ask us if you no longer have the app installed.
From inside the app
- Open Favemark and tap the settings icon on the home screen.
- The Account section is at the top. Tap Delete account.
- Enter your password to confirm, then tap Delete everything.
We ask for your password because a phone in someone else's hands is already signed in to your account. Typing it is the step that makes this deliberate.
What gets deleted
Everything, immediately and permanently: your photos and every version of them we derived, your notes, ratings, comments and tags, the places you saved, your assistant conversations, reactions and reports, your Recent list, shelf-scan records and shelf maps, any links you shared, your Shoot lists and the photos you sent for them that are still on our server, your settings, and the account itself. You are signed out on every device. There is no waiting period and nothing is kept in reserve — we cannot restore an account after this, so please be sure.
Three honest caveats, the same ones the privacy policy makes. Backup copies age out on their own, so something deleted today can survive in one for about four weeks, longer if our backups stop running for a while, and a copy taken before an update of the service stays until five newer updates replace it, normally a few days. A copy taken before we load a large batch of product data is deleted once our backups can restore the moment it was taken, normally the day after, and the most recent such copy is kept no longer than the oldest backup we still hold. Something deleted also stays in the working copies of the database the policy describes until each is next refreshed successfully — normally within a day, longer if a refresh fails. Anything already sent to a company that helped process it — the AI providers named in the policy — is governed by their retention rules, not ours; deleting here does not reach into their systems. And your photo and video files are removed before we confirm the deletion. A file whose removal fails, or one that does not fit in the time a single request allows (only a very large library would reach that), is retried later; until it is gone, a removal record naming its storage key and your former account, and nothing else, is kept so the bytes can still be found and removed.
One more, only if you took part in a Shoot list. Photos favemark has accepted from a Shoot list are kept permanently in its private code repository, as you agreed when you started the list. Deleting your account deletes our server copies, not the repository's.
Your email address is released, so you can sign up again later with the same one. It will be a new, empty account.
If you no longer have the app
Write to privacy@favemark.app from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm when it is done. Reinstalling and using the steps above is faster, and it does not require you to wait on us.
